We were part of the Durrow GAA team
2009 that made it to the semi-finals of the schools Cup.Our first
match was against the Gaelscoil in Durrow pitch. It was a tough match,
but we won by a healthy margin in the end. Our second match was a
hard encounter against Daingean.
In the first half Daingean dominated and we were losing by 16 points. In
the second half (after a tactics shake up) we played extremely well
and when the final whistle blew after putting our heart and soul into
the match we lost by only two points. We made a great come back, recovering
from our loss against Daingean. |

We had a must win fixture against
Mucklagh away from home. It was a close match and there was no clear
winner. After the referee counted the scores in his book the results
were: 3-1 to 4-8 -a draw!
It was going to make our campaign much harder and we had even harder
match against Killeigh. At the break after having a good start we
were losing by nine points. The second half was much closer and we
put our heart and soul into it We dominated possession and the final
whistle came too soon for us. We had lost by four points. It was a
good campaign for Durrow N.S.
