By Ruby Cole, 5th class.

We had our Green Schools inspection and we did really well!

The inspector asked us a load of questions about our progress and we answered them all.

We explained about our Climate Action Week, Walk for Water, Water Wednesday, Book Swap and everything that happened during that week. We told the inspector about our Action Plan and what we have achieved this year. We also told her about our plans for the future like Green Day on March the 14th   and the Clothing Collection on the 10th of April.

We explained how we are saving water in Scoil Naomh Colmcille:
1. Water Butt
2.Hippo Bags
3.Raise Awareness: Blog, website, and newsletters sent home to parents.

The inspector told us we were doing a great job saving water and to keep it up.

My heartfelt open letter addressed to whom it may concern

My name is Philip, and I am a proud member of the Green Schools committee in Durrow N.S. Being on the committee is really fun, and only two days ago, we had our inspection to see whether or not we would get the flag we were working towards (the Water flag). Our committee’s members range from 2nd to 6th class, so we have a large, but closely-knit committee. Every week, we get together for a meeting so that we can discuss what we are doing, how we inform others, and our plans for the future.
After every meeting, the members retreat to their classes to tell classmates and teachers about what we spoke about in the meeting. I am the head of the ICT committee for the Green Schools, so I would also write the blog posts for our website. Being on the Green Schools committee is really fun and interesting, and I wish I could be on it until I leave the school.

Ms. Gaughan and some pupils were celebrating the nice spring weather by planting some beautiful flowers at the front of our school.
