Our Junior Infant had great fun this week experimenting with magnets and different materials. The class tested different materials around the classroom to see if they were magnetic. In groups the class then tested paper, wood, metal, plastic and rubber to see which materials were magnetic. The children really enjoyed this as you will see from the pictures below.

This year we had a great response to the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. Many children from our school filled shoeboxes that will be delivered to children in poor countries. These children are the victims of war, disease or poverty. They are living on the fringes of society, in some of the poorest countries in the world. When the shoeboxes arrive on Christmas Day it brings great hope and joy to less fortunate children.
