Today we celebrated maths week by working at different maths stations. We played some maths games on the laptops, solved maths puzzles with our partners, and did some number activities with our teacher. Thanks to Kate who joined us this week for work experience and helped us with our activities.

This week in 3rd class we planted broadbean seeds to help us examine and identify the parts of a plant.

We planted the seeds in good quality soil, gave them plenty of water (seeds can be very thirsty!), and placed them in the sunlight beside our window.
We are very excited to see how they grow!

Here are some photos of us doing our 'Tree Day' Activities on our beautiful school grounds.
We examined parts of the trees and did some fun activities outdoors. We finished filling in our tree booklets in class.

We pressed some leaves that we gathered on our Autumn Trail and then used these to make leaf prints. Look at our leaf print trees below. Some of us used gold and silver paint to print magical trees!
