Following our Autumn Trail we did some Autumn art in the classroom.
Conor and Klara wrote about their Autumn Trees art - First we had to colour a tree trunk brown. Next we did the leaves. We used red, brown, green, orange and yellow paint and did fingerprints for the leaves. After that we left them to dry. Finally they were ready and we put the Autumn Trees on the Art Wall.
Our Autumn Scarecrows. Eli and Eve wrote about our Fabric and Fibre art project.
We started by colouring in the scarecrow's body. We cut out arms and legs and then put fabric on these. Miss Carroll and Georgia, a past pupil of ours, attached the arms and legs with drawing pins. We used crepe paper to give the scarecrow some scraggy hair!
Following our Nature Trail earlier in the week, First Class set off on an Autumn Scavenger Hunt today!
First we looked for signs of Autumn on our school grounds. We noticed the changing colours of the leaves and lots of leaves falling from the trees and blowing around the lawn.
