We are applying for our third Green Schools flag, the water flag.
Here are a few things we have done and what we are going to do for it: We had a day called 'Water Wednesday' where all of the children dressed in blue, it was really fun! In correspondence with Active Schools week, the children had a 'Walk for Water'.We all walked around the school yard a number of times carrying water to signify how lucky we are to have access to fresh, drinkable water. The Green Schools committee have ordered 'Hippo' bags which will be placed in the toilet cisterns. They will reduce the amount of water being wasted after each flush. We had a Free-Dress Day and we raised enough money to buy several wells for people less fortunate who don't have access to clean water in Africa via Trocaire.
