Uniform

Scoil Naomh Colmcille endeavours to maintain the highest standards in matters of dress code and personal appearance for all pupils in the school. We are a school of uniformity and we take great pride in our crest and uniform which represents our school. It is expected that all pupils enrolled in our school will cooperate with and follow our school uniform policy. The school wishes to thank parents for their efforts to ensure that pupils observe the school uniform.

There is flexibility on days when, for unexpected reasons, the uniform can’t be worn. An email to the class teacher for these days is required.

School Uniform:

  • Navy Trousers, Pinafore or Skirt. (Skirts must be knee length)

  • Navy V-Neck jumper/cardigan (Crest desirable but not compulsory)

  • Pale blue shirt or polo shirt

  • Plain black or navy footwear (Does not have to be leather shoes)

  • Navy Tie optional

(When pupils are representing our school at public events, we will expect them to wear a tie)

P.E Uniform:

On P.E days, pupils who don't wish to wear their formal uniform may wear the following:

  • Plain Navy tracksuit bottoms (No stripes, bicycle shorts or leggings please)

  • Navy round neck sweaters

  • Pale blue polo shirt

  • Runners

During warm weather, pupils may wear navy mid-thigh shorts as a substitute for school trousers/tracksuit bottoms.

Other Considerations:

  • Please ensure that all uniform items are clearly labelled with your child's name.

  • Due to health and safety, long earrings are not allowed. Only studded earrings.

  • Unorthodox/unusual hairstyles, including artificial hair colouring, are not allowed. Hair should be a single natural colour, and without shaved patterns.
